1 Muscles of masticatory system, anatomy and physiology. Stabilisation elements of removable dentures, connectors. Ideal occlusion, normo-occlusion, 6 keys of occlusion.
2 Hydrocolloid impression materials. Dowel core, properties, indications, post crown, root reconstruction. Classification of orthodontic anomalies.
3 Elastomers, their properties and usage. Fixed appliances in frontal area, suitable abutment construction, complete solution. Intrauterine development of jaws and teeth.
4 Reconstruction of intermaxillary relations in partially edentulous jaws. Metal full crowns, their types, indications, evaluation. Indication of orthodontic treatment.
5 General properties of metals, their importance in prosthetic dentistry. Support, bracing and reciprocal elements of removable dentures. Prevention and prophylaxis of orthodontic anomalies.
6 Temporomandibular joint, its anatomy, physiology and its importance in prosthetics. Facing (veneering) crowns, types, indications and work procedures. Aetiology of orthodontic anomalies.
7 Importance of prosthetic treatment (rehabilitation, correction, splinting, prevention). Division of pontics according to shape and relation to the mucosa. Postnatal growth and development of jaws and dental arches.
8 Artificial resins, relining and rebasing of dentures and their repairs. Plastic materials. Acrylic dentures (III class Voldřich), characteristics, construction elements. Orthodontic diagnosis.
