This fencing course allows students to look into the mysteries of the art of fencing. The course is not focused only on mastering the movement skills but also on understanding the basic principles that define fencing (ethics, stances, values). Fencing develops coordination of the whole body and cultivates the mind. In one semester, students learn the basic fencing moves and fencing techniques. In the final class, students can try free fencing (match) on an electronic scoring machine. After completing the semester students can continue at the Humanita z.s. university sports club.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Markéta Fričová (17.09.2020)

The objective of the physical education course is to motivate students to adopt a balanced and active lifestyle that includes physical activity and regeneration in addition to routine and work-related activities, and thus helping to maintain the physical and mental potential required for successful performance at school and in everyday life. This objective can only be achieved by developing basic physical abilities and specific physical skills needed for specific sports and regular individual physical exercise. Care for the body, health, and physical fitness is perceived in the process of instructing physical education as a vital component of an individual’s personality.
