The course is designed for students with B2.1 knowledge of Spanish (see course description of Spanish. Course B2.1 or: http://pruebadenivel.cervantes.es/exam.php?id=17).

It focuses on the development of both basic communication (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and academic skills in order to reach the expected level B2.2
The language of instruction is Spanish.
One-semester course, 1 sessions of 90 mins per week.
Aim of the course -

The aim of the course is to improve all language competences (reading, speaking, listening and writing) and to develop the vocabulary and grammar needed to reach level B2. Students will learn to understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics (labour market, media, environment, education), including technical discussions. Their oral expression will become more fluent and spontaneous. Students will be able to write comprehensible detailed texts on a wide range of topics, including technical ones, and explain their point of view on a current issue, giving relevant arguments, and be able to express their wishes and demands clearly.

The base of the course is the Vente 3 textbook and exercise book, units 7-12. Supplementary materials come from the preparation textbooks for the certified exams, grammar or vocabulary textbooks, and original Spanish language resources. Appropriate lessons are supplemented with audio and video recordings. The course evenly practices all four language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
