V ZS 2023 bude předmět Starý jazyk I představovat konkrétně úvod do studia chetitštiny. Základní literaturou bude Elements of Hittite (Theo van den Hout) a Grammar of the Hittite Language parts I and II (Harry Hoffner, Craig Melchert). Seznámíme se s chetitskou fonologií a základy morfologie. Důležitou součástí bude porozumění interpretaci porušených textů a úskalím klínopisného zápisu.

Po absolvováí kurzu by měl student být schopen přečíst samostatně jednoduché chetitské věty a zorientovat se na klínopisné tabulce.
