Předmět je zaměřen na prohloubení znalostí cíle a principy různých typů evaluace, základní evaluační metody, hledání hodnoty tržních a netržních statků, ukazatele socioekonomického hodnocení, formulace a porozumění výsledkům evaluace, analýza nákladů a přínosů (Cost-benefit analysis). Předmět cílí na uchopení teoretických znalostí, ale především na osvojení praktických znalostí.
