The aim of the course is to introduce the role of social work in the context of a multidisciplinary approach. As a helping profession, social work has a unique position in practice at the imaginary crossroads of disciplines such as psychology, law, health sciences, economics and others. Students will learn about the principles and models of multidisciplinary teams and the key areas for applying a multidisciplinary approach, including the possible roles of social workers in these teams. A special part of the course will provide insight into specific areas of practice of multidisciplinary teams in the social field and insight into specific aspects of multidisciplinary collaboration, its assumptions and benefits in different environments and domains in which the human being should be perceived in his/her bio-psycho-socio-spiritual wholeness..

Completion of the course assumes knowledge of social work methods with the individual, group and community.
