Course syllabus: Managerial skills in social work
- compulsory elective course for NMgr.studium
Lecturer: PhDr. Petr Vojtisek, PhD.
Objectives and form of the seminar:
The seminar is suitable for students with work experience in social work, or students with strong motivation for managerial positions in social work. The seminar is conducted in an interactive form, is based on a number of practical examples and guided discussions, is based on the direct experience of the lecturer and also the needs of students, works with real situations and examples of good practice.
The seminar will acquaint students with key areas of organizational management with an emphasis on sustainability.
Graduates of the seminar will be equipped with basic knowledge of the theory of management and leadership as well as specific generalized experiences that they will be able to use in their future practice.
Framework content:
1. Basic framework for management - organizational forms, cooperation of the state, companies and the non-profit sector in social work (PPP)
2. Management and leadership - leadership and management, management styles, manager's personality, relationships with subordinates
3. Strategic management - strategic framework, strategic and action plans, self-assessment of the organization
4. Financial management - subsidies x grants, the role of the state in financing, foundation and private resources
5. Financial management - budgeting, cash flow, self-financing of NGOs
6. Process management - internal communication, administration of internal regulations
7. Social economy - social enterprises, legislation, economics of social enterprise, economic and social aspects of social enterprise
8. Human resources management - strategy, selection, education, evaluation and motivation, volunteer management
9. Public Relations and Marketing - marketing campaigns, work with the media, promotion, PR tools
10. Fundraising - resources, fundraising plan, work with donors, negotiations with donors
11. Quality management - quality in social work, self-evaluation of the organization, control mechanisms, inspection, customer / client controlled service

Attestation: seminar work
Attestation conditions:
Separately processed document in the range of min. 2 pages A4 focused on the purpose for the student's further practice (project plan, essay, internal regulation, budget, etc.)

ASC51PV14 - Manažerské dovednosti v sociální práci
- povinně volitelný předmět pro NMgr.studium

Cíle a forma semináře:
Seminář je vhodný pro studenty s praxí ze zaměstnání v sociální práci, případně studenty se silnou motivací pro manažerské pozice v sociální práci. Seminář je veden interaktivní formou, je postaven na řadě praktických příkladů a řízených diskusí, vychází z přímých zkušeností lektora a také potřeb studentů, pracuje s reálnými situacemi a příklady dobré praxe.
Seminář seznámí studenty s klíčovými oblastmi řízení organizace s důrazem na udržitelnost.
Absolventi semináře budou vybaveni základními poznatky z teorie řízení a vedení i konkrétními zobecněnými zkušenostmi, jež budou moci využít ve své budoucí praxi.
Rámcový obsah:
1. Základní rámec pro řízení - organizační formy, kooperace státu, firem a neziskového sektoru v sociální práci (PPP)
2. Management a leadership – vedení a řízení, styly řízení, osobnost managera, vztahy k podřízeným
3. Strategické řízení – strategický rámec, strategické a akční plány, sebehodnocení organizace
4. Finanční řízení – dotace x granty, role státu ve financování, nadační a soukromé zdroje
5. Finanční řízení – rozpočtování, cash flow, samofinancování NNO
6. Procesní řízení – interní komunikace, správa vnitřních předpisů
7. Sociální ekonomika – sociální podniky, legislativa, ekonomika sociálního podniku, ekonomické a sociální aspekty sociálního podniku
8. Řízení lidských zdrojů – strategie, výběr, vzdělávání, hodnocení a motivace, řízení dobrovolníků
9. Public Relations a Marketing – marketingové kampaně, práce s médii, propagace, PR nástroje
10.Fundraising – zdroje, fundraisingový plán, práce s dárci, jednání s dárci
11.Řízení kvality – kvalita v sociální práci, sebehodnocení organizace, kontrolní mechanismy, inspekce, služba řízená zákazníkem/klientem

Podmínky atestace:
Samostatně zpracovaný dokument v rozsahu min. 2 str. A4 zaměřený dle účelu pro studentovu další praxi (projektový záměr, esej, vnitřní předpis, rozpočet apod.)
