Účastnit se mohou všichni zájemci o téma, znalost staroseverštiny není podmínkou. Během četby budeme soustavně nahlížet do staroseverského originálu, ale každé slovo si dostatečně vyložíme a okomentujeme, aby se nakonec v textu orientoval i student jazyka neznalý. Jistá zběhlost ve filologické práci je jistě plusem, nicméně kurs má zároveň za cíl studenty do problematiky filologické práce uvést, takže se neočekávají učenci spadlí z nebe. Kurs lze zvláště doporučit všem těm - i z řad studentů nižších ročníků - kteří uvažují o tom, či jsou rozhodnuti, se někdy v budoucnu věnovat staroseverské mytologii více než jen zběžně, protože právě kurs tohoto typu zásobí studenta množstvím konkrétních praktických postřehů a know-kow, festovní vlastní zkušeností se zdrojovým textem atd. kteréžto se žádnou obecnou úvodní přednáškou ani seminářem nedají zastoupit/zprostředkovat. Účastník se nicméně musí připravit na skutečnou práci z hodiny na hodinu, pravidelnou přípravu textu, pravidelnou četbu poměrně obšírného komentáře, občasně četbu relevantních odborných článků atd. Tato seminární práce svým rozsahem může překročit náročnost průměrného semináře. |
