Coaching psychology is a discipline that is studied as a separate program at some foreign
universities. Besides psychotherapy and counselling, coaching represents one of the basic
services that psychologists can offer to their clients, especially as support in the effective
achievement of goals in working life (performance coaching) and personal life (life coaching).
Knowledge of theoretical concepts related to psychological coaching, as well as the ability
and skills to apply this knowledge in a real situation, will expand the competencies of future
psychologists.
Aim of the course -

Using theory and practice, these competencies will be developed: 1) Contracting 2) Questioning 3) Listening 4) Reflection and Feedback

By the end of this course, students will have acquired the ability to create appropriate coaching contracts with clients, including well-formulated goals and indicators. At the same time, they should be able to guide and support clients on the way to achieving their goals, especially through detailed preparation of future events (briefing) and reflection (debriefing).

Course completion requirements -
Last update: doc. PhDr. MUDr. Mgr. Radvan Bahbouh, Ph.D. (07.05.2022)

The student should submit one case study of self-coaching and one case study of coaching another client/student, which will describe the setting of partial and final goals as well as a reflection on the course of achieving them. The client's case study should be accompanied by their own reflection and/or feedback.
