Aim of the course
Last update: PhDr. Eva Dragomirecká, Ph.D. (11.12.2023)
Aim of subject:
The aim of this course is to introduce clinical psychological evaluation of adult psychopathology from the psychoanalytic perspective. It will also explore the potential of projective methods in the diagnostic process.

Gained knowledge:

A. The course will examine basic concepts of adult psychopathology evaluation from the psychoanalytic perspective, namely from the perspective of structural models, object relations, attachment theory, defence mechanism theories and other approaches

B. The course will cover selected theoretical, clinical and research literature on each disorder

C. The course will touch upon the evolution of current conceptualisations of each disorder.

Gained skills: Students will learn to define and recognise the basic forms of psychopathology of the selected disorders from the psychoanalytic perspective and identify their manifestation as captured by projective methods

Syllabus
Last update: PhDr. Eva Dragomirecká, Ph.D. (11.12.2023)
Syllabus:
The theoretical foundation of the course hinges on the basic concepts relevant for an understanding of the selected psychopathological phenomena (see Literature). Building on this theoretical basis, the course elaborates on specific disorders: neurotic, borderline and psychotic personality pathologies and their manifestation in projective methods.
