Ecopsychology is a subject that links the knowledge of psychology and the relationship between humans and the planet, the environment and other species. <br>
In the last decade, the importance of this psychological discipline has increased as the urgency of addressing the climate crisis and other conservation issues such as biodiversity loss has grown. <br>
Ecopsychology offers a focused application of the concepts and findings of psychology not only to understand the relationship of humans to the planet and other species, but also offers a comprehensive and rapidly expanding system of actionable information. These can be applied in motivating people's behaviour and actions leading to a sustainable lifestyle. New applied disciplines such as human-animal studies or vegan psychology support the relationship with other species. The findings of ecopsychology are also successfully used in the fields of health psychology and in the promotion of wellbeing or as adjuncts to some psychotherapeutic approaches.

Stručná anotace předmětu: Ekopsychologie je předmětem, propojujícím poznatky psychologie a vztahu člověka k planetě, životnímu prostředí a dalším živočišným druhům. V posledním desetiletí se zvýšil význam této psychologické disciplíny s tím, jak narůstá naléhavost řešení klimatické krize a dalších témat spojených s ochranou přírody, jako je snižování biodiverzity.
Ekopsychologie nabízí cílené využití konceptů a poznatků psychologie nejen pro pochopení vztahu lidí k planetě a dalším druhům, ale nabízí i ucelený a rychle se rozšiřující systém dále využitelných informací. Ty lze aplikovat v motivaci k chování a jednání lidí, vedoucímu k udržitelnému životnímu stylu. Nové aplikované disciplíny jako human-animal studies nebo vegan psychology podporují vztah k dalším živočišným druhům. Poznatky ekopsychologie se také s úspěchem využívají v oblastech psychologie zdraví a v podpoře wellbeing nebo jako doplňky některých psychoterapeutických přístupů.
