CCyklus přednášek se věnuje vývoji klasické mongolské literatury, a to postupně od nejstarších písemných památek až po začátek 20. století. Studenti získají orientaci v žánrech klasické mongolské literatury, přehled o významných autorech klasického období a vlastní zkušenost s interpretací klasického textu.
Výklad obsahuje charakteristiku jednotlivých období včetně popisu typických žánrů a poté jsou podrobněji probírána hlavní díla a/nebo autoři. Na konkrétních příkladech je demonstrována provázanost mongolské literatury s literaturami a kulturami dalších národů, zejména vliv staroindické, tibetské a čínské literatury na mongolskou literaturu (překladová literatura, vlastní tvorba). Výuka se skládá z teoretických přednášek, komentované četby a analýzy vybraných textů. Výběr klasických textů probíhá ve spolupráci s vyučujícím mongolského klasického písma. Studenti také v každém semestru prezentují samostatně zpracovaný referát na téma zvolené po dohodě s přednášejícím.
Podmínkou atestace znalost tvorby probíraných autorů a orientace v žánrech klasické mongolské literatury. Zkouška probíhá ústní formou.

The series of lectures is devoted to the development of classical Mongolian literature, gradually from the oldest written monuments to the beginning of the 20th century. Students will gain an orientation in the genres of classical Mongolian literature, an overview of important authors of the classical period and their own experience with the interpretation of a classical text.
The interpretation includes the characteristics of individual periods, including a description of typical genres, and then the main works and/or authors are discussed in more detail. The connection of Mongolian literature with the literatures and cultures of other nations is demonstrated on concrete examples, especially the influence of ancient Indian, Tibetan and Chinese literature on Mongolian literature (literature in translation, own work). The teaching consists of theoretical lectures, annotated reading and analysis of selected texts. The selection of classical texts takes place in cooperation with the teacher of Mongolian classical writing. In each semester, students also present an independently prepared paper on a topic chosen in agreement with the lecturer.
A condition for certification is knowledge of the work of the discussed authors and orientation in the genres of classical Mongolian literature. The examination is oral.
