The course aims at introducing the processes involved in language acquisition. The processes are described from the early pre-verbal stages until puberty. Bilingualism and second language acquisition are also discussed, as well as developmental language disorders (dyslexia and specific language impairment).

Students will be assessed with a midterm test and with a final test. Both will take place in class. The content of the tests will correspond to the topics discussed during the seminars.  

Attendance is compulsory, max 3 absences per semester are allowed.
