Kurs navazuje na kurs Hebrejská sekulární literatura I. Zatímco tento kurs probíhal formou přednášky, která studenty seznámila s hebrejskou prozaickou a poetickou tvorbou v diaspoře od počátku tzv. gaonského období po raně moderní dobu s důrazem na hebrejskou literární tvorbu ve Španělsku tzv. muslimského a křesťanského období, navazující kurs bude probíhat formou semináře a jeho obsahem bude četba a rozbor textů probraných v předchozím kursu.

Cílem kursu je studenty uvést do četby hebrejské středověké prozaické litratury a na jednotllivých příkladech ukázat specifika jejích jednotlivých žánrů.
