Praxi student vykonává na pracovišti s hudebním zaměřením (např. NK ČR, NM, AV ČR, Institut Bohuslava Martinů, Český rozhlas ad.)- předchozí domluva s garantem předmětu nutná. Praxe II musí být splněna na jiném pracovišti než Praxe I. Rozsah praxe je 52 hodiny, způsob rozvržení závisí na podmínkách konkrétní instituce. Atestace se uděluje na základě písemného potvrzení o splnění praxe z dané instituce.
