Interpretační seminář věnovaný jedenácté knize Tacitových Letopisů (jejímž hlavním námětem je Claudiova cenzura a pád Messaliny): četba bude postupovat tempem 3 až 5 odstavců týdně, intenzivně budeme pracovat s moderním komentářem S. J. V. Mallocha. Předmět tematicky navazuje na seminář o Suetoniově Životě božského Claudia (ZS 2023, ZS 2018) - jeho neabsolvování však není žádným handicapem.

Cílem předmětu je zejména uvést studenty do poměrně náročné četby Tacitových Letopisů (jejichž vybrané knihy jsou součástí SZZK z latinského jazyka a literatury).
