Selected texts of Czech writers are addressed in the seminar in the form of presentations, discussions and texts analysis. We will analyse and comment texts from the perspective of language above all. We will focus on various forms and changes of the Czech language from diachronic and synchronic perspectives.

Students will be acquainted with the role and forms of Czech in literary texts; they will learn to identify the function (style) of various linguistic means at individual linguistic level.
