Aim of the course -

Development of dramatic skills in a broad sense, ie. especially spoken expression in Czech for foreign language speakers, development of acting skills and non-verbal communication in the Czech cultural environment. The participants of the seminar will study a play in Czech.

In the seminar designed for foreign language speakers of Czech, we work with the following topics:
Dramatic text and its specifics in Czech
Interpretation of a dramatic text
Semantic and pragmatic aspect of the statement and the text
Spoken performance features
Spoken interpretation of written text
Accent, intonation, phrasing, emphasis
Phonetic rules and orthoepy of Czech

The condition for granting the credit is regular participation in the seminar, studying of the assigned theatrical role and its performance.
Students will also be involved in the preparation of costumes and props and in the promotion of their performance in the faculty and on social networks.
