The overview of Czech history is focused on the issues of the formation of Czech statehood, its historical development and changes and its intertwining with the Czechoslovak statehood. Special emphasis is therefore placed on the history of the 19th and 20th centuries. In the characterization of the main historical stages, the role of culture comes to the forefront in order to excel in relation to the development of language, literature, art, science and education for foreign students. At the same time, Czech and Czechoslovak history are put into the context of European and especially Central European development. Historically-genetically, the issue of Czech-Slovak, Czech-German and Czech-Jewish relations is explained.
In case of school closure due to a coronavirus pandemic, teaching will be conducted remotely via electronic media.
