The courses which are currently running in the Irish language range from complete beginners to the upper intermediate/advanced level. Language training is complemented by variegated samples of Irish culture including place-names, blessings, curses, proverbs and songs. There are six successive one-semester courses. More advanced students are welcome to join an informal conversation circle, which meets on a weekly basis.<br>

In Irish V and VI students develop their communication skills, but the focus shifts towards advanced areas of grammar and to the reading of more challenging texts in the language. Texts read in recent years include Biddy Jenkinson's detective stories, the Irish translation of The Hobbit, passages from Myles na gCopaleen's An Béal Bocht and numerous poems.
