Seminář bude zaměřen na efektivní založení struktury práce a na základy metodologie diplomového výzkumu. Cílem semináře je tedy seznámit studenty s metodickými základy samostatného výzkumu (definice úkolu, rešerše relevantní literatury, sběr vlastních dat pro výzkum a jeho zásady, postup při zpracování materiálu) a se strukturou jejich prezentace. Studenti se seznámí s předepsaným členěním diplomové práce, s formou prezentace kvantitativních výsledků, s charakteristikou odborného textu v angličtině, formátem poznámkového aparátu, aj.
Na počátku semináře studenti definují cíl svého výzkumu a probíhá diskuze s ostatními diplomanty nad zaměřením a metodologií prací. Na konci semináře studenti prezentují dosavadní výsledky svého výzkumu. Forma semináře předpokládá aktivní účast referenta i ostatních účastníků semináře.
