Annotation -
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the development of Russian culture. The students are taught important phenomena of Russian culture in its individual ways of expression in the field of high culture and culture of everyday life of Russian society. Students are led to a systematic comparison with Czech culture.

Aim of the course -

Student
- characterises Russian culture in a European context,
- explains the development of different types of Russian culture and their milestones, characterizes the main representatives, works and other cultural phenomena.

 Podmínky k získání zápočtu:

- aktivní účast na seminářích (75% účast),

- včasné a kvalitní splnění všech dílčích úkolů, konkrétní podmínky a témata budou upřesněny vyučující na první výuce,

- zápočtový test nebo ústní rozprava, která ověřuje orientaci studenta v probíraných tématech a jeho schopnost porovnat kulturní fenomény ruské kultury s kulturou vlastní.

Learning outcomes -

As a result of mastering this course, students should know:

- peculiarities of the development of pre-Christian Slavic culture (pagan period, geography of ancient Slavic settlement; groups of modern Slavs; beliefs (Slavic polytheism), pagan holidays, superstitions, omens and their trace in modern life; everyday life, occupations, crafts of ancient Slavs; oral folk art of Slavs (fairy tales, bylinas, proverbs and sayings, songs, riddles) and its role in modern everyday life).

- the important role of the adoption of Christianity by the Slavs and understand the influence of this event on the creation of Old Russian literary monuments as sources of spiritual culture and art of the present day.

- the distinctive features of Russian literature as an indivisible part of the world literary process.

- the originality of the fine arts and outstanding world collections of painting in Russia.

- the contribution of Russian musical culture to the world of music.

- The contribution of the Russian theater school to the world dramatic art.

- the originality of Russian cinema as a colorful link in the world cinema art.

- the role of Russian (Russian) science in the world.

- cultural and ethnic features of the geography of modern Russia,

be able to:

- understand and adequately perceive information on paper and electronic media.

- fluently read and retell authentic texts of cultural character, put questions to them, select key words.

- engage in a discussion on the topics identified, select illustrations and arguments to support their position.

- clearly formulate their thoughts in writing about the course topics.

- perceive and understand the sounding movie speech or speech from another source, including electronic.

master:

- Russian language vocabulary (taking into account the topics of this course) in all types of speech activity;

- terminology related to the topics of this course;

- skills of concrete and objective presentation of one's knowledge in written and oral form in Russian;

- skills and abilities to perform independent and homework of creative nature, to make presentations;

- skills of a confident user of basic computer programs necessary for the full creation of presentations, search and analysis of information on the Internet.
