Annotation -
The course "HOW TO TEACH ABOUT ...?" is defined as a follow-up to the compulsory courses and a practical guide to "How to teach about ..." . The course will convey to students the current trends in the teaching of history in the form of debate meetings of experts on the historical periods and methodology from the staff of the Department of History and Didactics of History and other experts from specialized institutions who are consistently engaged in the chosen topic. The topics will include "How to teach about the Holocaust", "How to teach about antics", "How to teach about the Middle Ages" and other topical issues. In addition to the KDDD staff, these meetings will be attended by experts on the chosen topic as well as practising teachers. The aim of the course is to introduce and explain to the students how to implement the results of scientific work in the field of history into school history teaching. Taking into account the primary goal of maximizing the link between theoretical teaching and practice and the use of direct interaction, it is planned to enrich the course with debates and discussion panels, not only with representatives of the professional but also of the wider public.
