Annotation -
The course is focused on the issue of vocal conducting. The content of the course is theoretical and practical acquisition of basic clock schemes and elementary conducting skills: clock schemes, conclusions, divided gesture. The study material is mainly Czech, Moravian and Slovak folk songs and easy choral compositions (canon, homophony, polyphony).

Active participation in lessons, max. 3 absences. Theoretical interpretation of the assigned timing issue and its practical application to the studied repertoire. Profile of the chosen conductor or choir master.

1. Meaning of timing, attitude, preparatory gesture, scheme 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4
2. Basic timing schemes in legato and staccato execution, work with dynamics.
3. Practicing basic time signatures and conclusions, changing time signatures.
4. Types of fermates and their implementation.
5. Subdivided gesture.
6. Clock schemes of compound clocks.
7. Recitative conducting.
8. Performances at main and half times.
9. Work with tempo, riterando, accelerando, subita, una battuta, alla breve
10. Functions of the left hand, differentiation.
11. Dynamics, subitto, crescendo, decrescendo.
