Annotation -

The seminar is dedicated to discussing current problems in nonequilibrium thermodynamics and statistical physics and will be conducted as a so-called "journal club" and a "work-in-progress brainstorming seminar", in which we will critically reflect on the content and results of new scientific papers and on current research of presenters. The seminar will focus primarily (though not exclusively) on research areas pursued in the theoretical division of the Department of Macromolecular Physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University.

Syllabus -

The seminar is devoted to discussing current problems in nonequilibrium thermodynamics and statistical physics. Its form will be that of a so-called “journal club”, where we will critically evaluate most recent results from relevant scientific publications. Thematically this seminar is (mainly but non-exclusively) focused on areas of research pursued in the Theory group of the Department of Macromolecular Physics.
