Annotation -
The seminar introduces students to the main tendencies, ideas and traditions of Czech history in the 19th and 20th centuries, while emphasizing key places in the political, economic, social, cultural and Church history of the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.

3. What is the work of a historian?

4. Important editions of Czech politics.

5. Important memories, diaries and memories of the history of the 19th and 20th centuries.

6. Correspondence as a source and its meaning.

7. Contemporary printing and its pitfalls.

8. Current historical magazines on the history of the 19th and 20th centuries.

9. Specialized archives for the history of the 19th and 20th centuries.

10. Everyday life. Microhistory vs Macrohistory.

11. What can be read from period maps?

12. Textbook as a source. What are they talking about today?

13. The media as a neglected source of labor history.

14. Final summary.
