Within the subject Professional language preparation, there is a course of the Czech language for Foreigners designed to the foreign students whose native language is not Czech and who study the programme of Pharmacy in English.
Czech Language course is optional but passing the examination in Czech Language is compulsory.
The course of the Czech language takes 4 semesters. Students can register for the courses of Czech Language only for the whole academic year, it means for both semesters in the 1st and/or both semesters of the 2nd section of study.
The achieved language competence is the first step to be able to communicate, read, write and translate texts in the Czech language before they start learning the basics of Medical and Pharmaceutical Czech. Is it essential that the students successfully complete the course till the end of the 3rd year of study.
Students practise exercises on the basic lexical items, grammar, phrases, new thematical topics, synonyms, oral communication, reading comprehension and translation of short texts from different areas of life.
The course focuses on the use of real communicative situations to systematically develop all the language skills, both passive (reading and listening comprehension) and active (writing and speaking).
At the end of the course students should be able to manage basic communicative situations and to understand written texts in Czech.

V rámci předmětu Odborná jazyková příprava probíhá kurz Českého jazyka pro cizince určený zahraničním studentům, jejichž rodný jazyk není čeština a kteří studují program Farmacie v angličtině.
Kurz českého jazyka je volitelný, ale složení zkoušky v českém jazyce je povinné.
Kurz českého jazyka trvá 4 semestry. Studenti se mohou zaregistrovat na kurzy českého jazyka pouze po celý akademický rok, to znamená pro oba semestry v 1. a / nebo v obou semestrech 2. studijního oboru.
Dosažená jazyková kompetence je prvním krokem, který umožňuje komunikovat, číst, psát a překládat texty v českém jazyce, než se začnou učit základy lékařské a farmaceutické češtiny. Je nezbytné, aby studenti úspěšně absolvovali zkoušku z českého jazyka do konce 3. ročníku studia.
Studenti procvičují cvičení na základní lexikální jevy, gramatiku, fráze, nové tematické okruhy, synonyma, ústní komunikaci, porozumění čtení a překladu krátkých textů z různých oblastí života.
Kurz se zaměřuje na využití skutečných komunikačních situací pro systematické rozvíjení všech jazykových dovedností, jak pasivních (čtení a poslech), tak i aktivních (psaní a mluvení).
Po absolvování předmětu by studenti měli být schopni zvládnout základní komunikační situace a porozumět písemným textům v češtině.

Délka kurzu je 4 semestry. Studenti se mohou zaregistrovat na kurzy českého jazyka pouze na celý akademický rok, to znamená pro oba semestry v 1. a / nebo v obou semestrech 2. studijního ročníku. Teaching methods -
Seminar Czech language for foreign students (Professional language preparation I) in the study programme Pharmacy is held in the first two semesters in the first section of study once a week for 2 lessons i.e. 90 minutes and the complete amount of lessons for this subject in the first section of study is 56 lessons.
Language skills (listening, text comprehension, vocabulary and vocabulary exercises, grammar exercises, spoken and written speech) are practiced in the seminars by available modern methods. Great emphasis is put on students' self-expression.

Seminář Český jazyk pro zahraniční studenty (Odborná jazyková příprava I) ve studijním programu Farmacie se uskutečňuje v prvních dvou semestrech v prvním úseku studia jednou týdně 2 vyučovací hodiny, tj. 90 minut a celková výuka tohoto předmětu v prvním úseku studia je 56 hodin.
Jazykové dovednosti (poslech, porozumění textu, cvičení slovní zásoby a slovní zásoby, gramatické cvičení, mluvené i písemné projevy) se v seminářích vyučují dostupnými moderními metodami. Velký důraz je kladen na sebevyjádření studentů.

EXAM REQUIREMENTS:
Students will register for the term and take the oral exam with the teacher whose seminars they have attended.
Students who successfully passed four credit tests (two for Czech Language for Foreign Students I and two for Czech Language for Foreign Students II) will only take the oral part of the exam.
The oral exam is focused and based on reading a short abstract, answering questions to the reading comprehension, explaining grammar items (conjugation of verbs, declension of nouns, adjectives and pronouns, prepositions, aspect, tenses (present, past, future), conditional) vocabulary, and conversation.
Students who did not pass all of the four credit tests or did not attend the seminars will be obliged to take both the written and oral part of the exam.
Students will write a test checking their knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension.
For successful passing the test 70% is needed.

POŽADAVKY KE ZKOUŠCE:
Studenti si zapíšou zkoušku, která ověří jejich znalosti z gramatiky, slovní zásoby, porozumění čtení.
Pro úspěšné absolvování testu je zapotřebí 70%.
Na ústní části zkoušky budou studenti diskutovat na zvolené téma (viz Sylabus) a představí své znalosti běžných i odborných konverzačních frází, základní slovní zásoby, nejdůležitějších gramatických principů, správnou výslovnost.
