Aim of the course -

The object of this course is to make students acquainted with the different forms of bleeding in the uro-genitaly tract, with the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnostic and therapy, incl. bleeding caused by a trauma/injury.

Teaching methods -

A two-hour-seminary with power-point-presentation and demonstation of different catheters and stents used in urology.

Syllabus -

terminology (hematuria, micro-, macro-, hematoma, ...)

ethiology, pathogenesis of bleeding in urological organs

trauma/injuries

diagnostic of the origin of the bleeding

therapy, managment of massive bleeding, (haemorrhagic) shock

indication to the surgical treatment versus conservative way in bleeding

catheters
