Annotation -
This course is established for students of 3rd and 4th year. It informs students about noise, vibration, overloading of locomotor system, dust, ionizing radiation, some chemicals (and other factors) and about their influence on health, assessment and about notification of occupational diseases.

Aim of the course -

The main task of the subject is to give students some basic information about priciples of some occupational diseases development, their diagnostics, prevention and therapy. The other task is to explain up the methods of risk assessment at work.

Syllabus -

Factors influencing the health status at work: Physical factors - noise, vibrations, ionizing radiation, overloading, dust, factors of chemical origin, infections. Occupational diseases and accidents, principles of health care for employees, health risks at workplace, travel medicine, personal protection,interesting case studies cases from occupational medicine branch.
