Annotation -
The course focuses on the concept of digital humanities, especially its contributions to the humanities and social sciences, with particular reference to book history research. In addition to recent discussions of the critique of digital humanities, the course focuses on the representation of "cultural data" in the digital environment, relevant research infrastructures, digital methods and tools, and issues of digital studies and the study of computer interfaces in general. The course also includes an introduction to data science, including basic tools and techniques for data analysis, visualization and communication.
