The subject covers various topics from general psychology, medical psychology, and contemporary psychotherapy that are relevant to medicine. Main attention is given to bio-psycho-social approach, psychosomatic medicine, systemic approach and psychotherapy research. Important aspects of clinical practice are discussed from psychology/psychotherapy viewpoint such as subjective experience of being ill, communication intricacies between physician and patient, therapeutic relationship, embedded counselling etc.
