This course is focused on practical training in stress test, data processing and images interpretation.
Aim of the course -

The goal of the course is to teach student theoretical basis of nuclear cardiology, to perform and interpret stress ECG test in cardiology, to see patient data acquisition on gamma camera, to process data on computer and to interpret final report to cardiologist.

Methods of nuclear cardiology - techniques with the emphasis on perfusion scintigraphy.

Process of the procedure - patient preparation, different types of stress, different examining protocols.

Radiopharmaceuticals used in nuclear cardiology.

Myocardial perfusion scintigraphy in the diagnosis of ischemic heart disease. Methods of nuclear cardiology in the assessment of prognosis of patients with coronary artery disease.

Diagnosis of viable myocardium using nuclear cardiology.

Nuclear cardiology methods used in patients with acute coronary syndromes. Myocardial perfusion scintigraphy in patients after revascularization.

Artefacts in interpretation of nuclear cardiology findings.

Future directions in nuclear cardiology.
