This course gives an overview of existing standard protocols, methodology of design of new ones, and reasons for applying a given protocol. As design of cryptographic protocols is one of the most common practical problems, it is important to concentrate on this topic.

Types of protocols. Classic protocols (coin tossing, bit fixation, poker, blind signatures etc.), protocols for digital signatures and payments, micropayments, SSL, IpSpec, protocols for e-commerce, anonymity, steganography, watermarking.
