The course is a continuation of the lecture Mathematical methods in geophysics and is offered to the PhD students
who did not attend the basic lectures in mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The goal of the
course is to deepen the knowledge of the advanced mathematical methods used in geophysical research and to
gain practice in using them.

Kurs navazuje na přednášku Matematické metody v geofyzice a je určen pro doktorandy, kteří neprošli základními
kurzy matematiky na MFF UK, tedy především pro absolventy PřF UK a zahraniční studenty. Studenti se seznámí
pokročilými matematickými metodami používanými při fyzikálním výzkumu Země a planet a své znalosti si
prohloubí a upevní v rámci rozsáhlého cvičení.
