Reporting of the results of the business, main types of decision making processes, financial accounting and the role of managerial accounting, practical examples

Assets, liabilities, shares, financial statements, balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, budgeting, taxes, depreciation, overhead, costs, revenues.

Differential analysis, break even, pricing/costing main issues, "make or buy" decisions, decision tree

Time value of the money, financial management, present value, future value, discount rates, nominal and effective rates, perpetuity, annuity, compounding periods of interests.

Optimization of capital structure, analysis of financial statements, ratio analysis, internal rate of return, return on the equity, net present value, investment decision making, investment and theory of the market, theory of portfolio optimization

Financing of the business, debt, shares, loans, shareholder equity and relation to opportunity costs of resources, future cash flow, risks, returns and decisions, value of the firm and the methods of its calculations

Career trade off, ethics and the relations towards business, lobby and corruption, institutional framework and its role, tradition, impacts of legal conditions and government influence.
