OBJECTIVE

This one-semester course will take us through all of the collections of one of the most important American poets of the twentieth-century, Wallace Stevens. While we will look at various critical responses to the poetry, the course will above all concentrate on close-readings of the poems and attempt to characterise individual collections.

ASSESSMENT

To receive a credit students will be expected to have 70% attendance and submit an essay of 3,000 words not later than one month after the completion of the course.
