Annotation -

Somatology I is an introductory course providing students with theoretical knowledge of functionally oriented somatology. The course revises and extends students´ high school biology knowledge and further focuses on human anatomy a physiology. Priority is given to those areas of study which are essential for the understanding of biological determinants, potentials and limitations of human body and are relevant to health education.

The aim of the course is to reinforce knowledge of anatomy, histology and embryology of tissues and body systems in terms of the discipline Education towards health.
