The Interpretation Seminar is of a complex nature and runs simultaneously for all years of the Bachelor and the Follow-up Master Program Music - Instrument Playing. It is one of the basic points of the whole study, therefore it is designed for full 6 semesters of bachelor's and 4 semesters of master's degree.

Aim of the course -
Course objectives can be summarized in three basic areas:
1) Verification of own interpretive skills, abilities and possibilities by performing in front of the audience.
2) Evaluation and analysis of performed performances. Here, the leading role of higher grade students is assumed.
3) Recognition of significant interpretational and pedagogical personalities of the past and present, penetration of the essence of musical message and technical means adequate to it.

Cíle kurzu je možno shrnout do tří základních okruhů:
1) Ověření vlastních interpretačních dovedností, schopností a možností formou vystoupení před publikem.
2) Hodnocení a rozbor přednesených výkonů. Zde se předpokládá vůdčí role studentů vyšších ročníků.
3)Poznávání významných interpretačních a pedagogických osobností minulosti in současnosti, pronikání k podstatě hudebního sdělení i technických prostředků k ní adekvátních.

K udělení zápočtu se z obsahu předmětu logicky požaduje účast na seminářích a aktivní účast na práci. Omluvitelné jsou max 2 absence za semestr z vážných důvodů. Dálší nezbytnou podmínkou je minimálně jednou interpretovat dílo, pohovořit o historickém kontextu, skladateli a díle samém atp. a ve vzájemné diskusi obhájit vlastní interpretaci.

Syllabus -
Communication takes place in an open atmosphere, all participants are aware of the fact that exact disciplines of artistic disciplines are not measurable. The permanent endeavor of the teacher is to approach and get to know the essential components (minutiae) of musical notation and possibilities of creative work with them at all stages of development.
As a result, there is a discussion about the views on the musical content of the reproduced compositions and the appropriate choice of technical means for its implementation. In addition, it is necessary to keep in mind the didactic component of the whole process, clarifying the principles of shaping the personality of a young artist and teacher, distinguishing the professional side of performance from personality deposit (and also their mutual interaction). An important element is also acquainting with different types of interpreters with an emphasis on individual approach to individual pupils in teaching practice.
In order to educate future teachers, the interpretational-pedagogical seminar is irreplaceable.

Komunikace probíhá v otevřené atmosféře, všichni účastníci jsou si vědomi faktu exaktní neměřitelnosti uměleckých disciplín. Trvalou snahou vyučujícího je přibližování a poznávání podstatných složek (markantů) notového zápisu a možností kreativní práce s nimi na všech stupních vývoje.
V návaznosti na to přichází diskuse o názorech na hudební obsah reprodukovaných skladeb a vhodné volbě technických prostředků k jeho realizaci. Vedle toho je třeba mít stále na paměti didaktickou složku celého procesu, ujasňování principů formování osobnosti mladého interpreta i pedagoga, rozlišení profesionální stránky výkonu od osobnostního vkladu (nadto i jejich vzájemnou interakci). Důležitým prvkem je také seznamování se s různými typy interpretů s důrazem na individuální přístup k jednotlivým žákům v pedagogické praxi.
Pro výchovu budoucích pedagogů má interpretačně-pedagogický seminář nezastupitelný význam.
