English

The goal of this course is to familiarize the students about the main turning points in the history of German speaking countries of the last two centuries and provide a wider insight into the historical context. The contents of this course consist mainly of modern German history (from 1945 onwards) but some attention is also paid to the history of Austria, Switzerland and Czech lands if it bears any connection to the history of German speaking territories.

Cílem kursu je seznámit studenty s hlavními milníky v dějinách německy mluvících zemí posledních dvou století a poskytnout jim širší vhled do dějinných souvislostí jednotlivých historických etap. Obsahem této části kursu jsou především novodobé dějiny Německa (od Výmarské republiky po současnost), ale pozornost je věnována i dějinám Rakouska, Švýcarska a českých zemí, pokud souvisejí s obecnými dějinami německy mluvících oblastí. Kurs bude probíhat s největší pravděpodobností distanční formou přes MS Teams.

-          Švýcarská specifika: dějiny konfederace od zániku Helvétské republiky do 1945;

-          Dějiny Švýcarska po 1945.

V rámci kursu může během přednášky proběhnout diskuse o jednotlivých epochách.
