The course deals with contemporary alternative religiosity. Attention is paid to the following issues: an overview of selected contemporary alternative religiosity, the circumstances of formation of various religious groups, religious groups founders - their life and work. In the course is a opportunity for discussion about the philosophy of various religious groups, and especially about the way of life of members of religious groups. Emphasis is placed on the discussion about the dangers of certain religious movements for contemporary youth.

The aim of the course is to provide an insight into the issue of new religious and para-religious movements in comparison with conventional religion.

Požadavky k zápočtu:

- aktivní účast (100% účast na třech setkáních) - za neúčast na jednom setkání je možné vypracovat individuální práci

- vypracování samostatného úkolu dle zadání na prvním společném setkání

- úspěšné absolvování zápočtového testu (min. úspěšnost 75 %)

1. New religious movements on the Christian background (Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Moonies).

2. Movement with Hindu background (Hare Krishna, Sri Chinmoy, Sahaja Yoga, Osho Rajneesh, etc.).

3. Movement with the background of Buddhism, Islam.

4. Movement with esoteric and occult background (the Grail Message, Satanism, etc.).

5. Danger of the psycho-cults (Scientology, etc.) for contemporary youth.
