The aim of the course is to introduce students to the practical aspects of using qualitative methods and
procedures in within oral history research. The syllabus of the seminar follows the course of standard oral history
research from the selection of the topic and the research sample, through the collection of data in the field to their
formal (making a record of
interview and its transcription) and content (analysis and interpretation) processing. Students are thus within the
framework
seminars will verify the theoretical competences acquired in the previous semester, through field practice, which
the procedure is continuously reflected and discussed with the teacher.

Cílem předmětu je seznámit studenty a studentky s praktickými aspekty využití kvalitativních metod a postupů v
rámci orálněhistorického výzkumu. Osnova semináře kopíruje průběh standardního orálněhistorického výzkumu
od výběru tématu a výzkumného vzorku, přes sběr dat v terénu až po jejich formální (vyhotovení záznamu o
rozhovoru a jeho přepisu) a obsahové (analýza a interpretace) zpracování. Studenti a studentky si tak v rámci
semináře ověří teoretické kompetence získané v předcházejícím semestru, a to prostřednictvím terénní praxe, jejíž
postup je průběžně reflektován a diskutován s vyučujícím.
