The course is aimed at work with narrative resources, concretely their analysis and interpretation. The main topics discussed both theoretically and practically there are: interview questions as an integral part of interpretations, subjectivity of narrative resources, subjectivity of interpretation itself, possible incorrect interpretations. Analytic and interpretative techniques are presented (and trained) in a form of practical exercises (analysis of some interviews, resp. transcriptions) and follow-up discussion.

Hlavní náplní kurzu je práce s narativními prameny, konkrétně s orálně historickými interview, jejich analýza a
interpretace. Dílčí témata budou prezentována formou přednášky, studující zároveň dostanou k dispozici
relevantní teoretické a metodologické texty, o nichž budou v hodinách diskutovat. Nedílnou součástí výuky jsou
praktická cvičení, tedy interpretace vybraných rozhovorů, respektive jejich přepisů.
Dílčí témata probíraná v rámci kurzu jsou: historie jako interpretace - interpersonální vztahy v orálně historickém
interview - reliabilita a validita - možná zkreslení způsobená osobou tazatele, použitými technikami apod. - vlastní
interpretace narátorů - zranitelnsot narátorů - etika orálně historického výzkumu.
