Cílem semináře je seznámit studenty a studentky s vybranými sociologickými přístupy ke vztahu mezi přírodou, životním prostředím a společností, se základními sociologickými pojmy environmentální sociologie, s osobnostmi a teoriemi. V kurzu se bude pracovat především s texty z knih: P.Macnaghten,J.Urry "Contested Natures" a J.B. Foster, B.Clark, R.York "The Ecological Rift". Probírané texty navazují na přednášky kurzu Environmentální sociologie a Seminář k environmentální sociologii. Předmět by měl také přispět k diskusi aktuálních témat. Seminář je založen na práci s texty a předpokládá aktivní účast.
