This course consists of the lectures followed by discussions, introduces the basic terminology of philosophy and semiotics. It is starting with a historical development and ending with a summary of the general requirements for the dissertation within the study field.

Kurs seznamuje přednáškovou formou s následnou diskusí se základní terminologií filosofie a sémiotiky, počínaje historickým vývojem a konče shrnutím požadavků na disertační práci obecně s přihlédnutím k vymezení hranic a specifik oboru.

Cíle semináře:

Určit charakter vědecké metody poznávaní, specifikovat metody a argumentační postupy humanitních a sociálních věd; vymezit charakter vědeckého jazyka, jeho vztah k referenci a pojmům.

Ukázat sémiotické aspekty vztahu mezi výrazem a jeho významem.

Uvést do specifických problémů sémiotické terminologie.

Vymezit anglické, francouzské a německé ekvivalenty základních termínů, používaných v současné sémiotice a filosofii komunikace.

Určit pojmový a terminologický základ pro filosofické uchopení zvoleného problému disertační práce.
