This is an introduction to the biological thinking about and biological aproaches to a human, with its positive as well as negative aspects in connection with general anthropological issues. It focuses on the theories on the origin of socialisation, cooperation and altruism in terms of evolutionary biology, and discusses the potential implication of these theoretical approaches in the social sciences.

Cílem je seznámit studenty s biologickým a biologizujícím myšlením o člověku a jeho silnými i problematickými stránkami ve
vztahu k obecně antropologické problematice. Kurz se soustředí na teoretické přístupy pokoušející se vysvětlit vznik
sociality, spolupráce a altruismu z hlediska evoluční biologie. To zahrnuje např. jak inspirace teorií her, tak i Triversovými modely
konfliktů rodič a potomek a sourozeneckých konfliktů. Možné implikace těchto teoretických přístupů v sociálních vědách
budou diskutovány. Problematika bude též probírána ze srovnávací perspektivy s důrazem na sociální aspekty chování
lidoopů.
