Dance: space and time Within the course, students will be acquainted with basic dance principles and possibilities of (self)expression through the dance art. In the period of three days and via the principles of space and time, symbolism of the body in dance and some improvisation exercises, they will be guided to understand their own body, its physical possibilities (its possible metamorphosis in dance / through dance) and its own dance lexicon.

Předmět se věnuje prolínání jevištního tance a dalších typů pohybového umění s uměním výtvarným, a to od chvíle, kdy se tanec stává divadlem až po současné trendy a techniky, které se opírají o principy konceptuální tvorby. Studenti si také skrze vlastní tělo vyzkouší performativní práci s různými materiály či artefakty etapami dějin umění se základními tanečními principy a s různými vlivy tance a výtvarného umění. Studenti budou mít možnost zařadit si dějiny těchto oborů do svých všeobecných kulturních znalostí a zjistí, o jak specifický druh sociálně-kulturní lidské aktivity se jedná.
