A combination of lectures and seminars, this course introduces students to the origin of script in general and its history, especially addressing the Latin alphabet. The course is intended for students to develop their practical skills related to script usage, which shall allow them to communicate with technical professionals, and to realise with their support a wide range of typography tasks.

Základy techniky kaligrafie plochým perem, způsob střídání slabých a silných tahů. Psaní verzálek a minusek bezserifové antikvy. Řazení znaků ve slovech a řádcích. Psaní krátkých textů. Následné psaní minusek a verzálek serifové antikvy a kurzívy.
