Aim of the subject is to present an overview of evaluation of motor system. The problems in posture, limbs and incorrect motoric stereotypes are briefly characterized. The students will train and master the basic examination methods to evaluate the motor system.

The aim of this course is to teach students the methods of evaluating the musculoskeletal system.

A graduate of this subject is able to take a basic anamnesis of the client and perform a basic kinesiological examination to the extent corresponding to the focus of the field of study. The student has the skills to test posture, stabilization functions, test muscle strength, movement stereotypes and basic pathologies of the musculoskeletal system.

1. Introduction to evaluation of locomotor system. Aim and importance of evaluation: localization of symptoms, impairment, connection with particular body part.

2. Methods, rules and means of measurement.

3. Anamnesis. Record of the assessment of subjective complaints.

4. Posture examination - static tests.

5. Posture examination - dynamic tests.

6. Assessment of pelvis position.

7. Goniometry. Importance and examples of joint mobility measurement.

7. Assessment of hypermobility.

8. Gait examination.

9. Muscle tests. Evaluation of tight muscles.

10. Muscle tests. Evaluation of weak muscles.

11. Movement stereotypes evaluation.

12. Movement stereotypes in activities of daily living.

13. Foot examination.

14. Case report as an example of evaluation - intervention relationship.
