The aquatic environment provides conditions for the realization of other physical activities than just swimming. In this case, we are talking about the use of Aquafitness exercise programs, which we divide into Aquagymnastics, Aquaaerobics, Aquajogging and others. However, it is necessary to realize that a certain level of swimming locomotion is necessary to develop swimming fitness. In exercise training in the water, we implement such exercise activities that not only develop physical fitness, but also serve to regenerate and recondition people whose swimming level is lower.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Mgr. Daniel Jurák, Ph.D. (21.09.2023)

The aim of the subject is to focus on the development of theoretical and practical skills for the implementation of movement training in water with the aim of influencing the level of physical fitness in different population groups through various movement activities in water.

By completing the subject, the student will be able to create a training unit in the aquatic environment, which may consist of movement activities that do not require a good level of swimming locomotion. The student will acquire competencies that will enable him to compile an exercise program based on basic knowledge of Aquaaerobics, Aquajogging and Aquapower. The student will be able to put together different programs for the development of muscle strength and endurance for a group of clients of all age categories and different swimming levels.
