Annotation
The aim of the course is to teach students differential-diagnostic thinking from the perspective of a physiotherapist, to acquire knowledge and skills in the analysis and differential diagnosis of functional motor disorders based on generally valid functional relationships. The aim is also to acquire knowledge and skills in the widest range of special functional tests that are necessary to determine the basic disorder in the system and thus the direction and method of therapy of the disorder. The focus of the course is on practical teaching and demonstration of patients. The content of the subject is closely linked to clinically oriented subjects.

Aim of the course

Learning Outcomes:

The course aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course, the student:

  • demonstrates knowledge of special differential diagnostic tests and methods for identification of specific movement syndromes
  • demonstrates the ability of practical application of theoretically learned diagnostic tests
  • ability to make an appropriate choice of combinations of diagnostic steps concerning a particular and actual health state of a patient
  • demonstrates the appropriate composition of the therapeutic process according to differential diagnostic of the movement system
